Here is a good chance to get a 1937 Hobbit (second impression) for cheap. Seller accidentaly misspelled ''Tokien'' so most of buyers don't know about this auction when they search for Tolkien books!!! Auction is ending today. Good luck friends!
It has water damage at the front of the book, and at least one of the illustrations has been coloured in, The Trolls. I suspect a lot more wrong with it that is not shown.
I agree with you except, what if a child has crayoned all over most of the pages, or pages are missing. We don't know in this case as no condition has been given, but caveat emptor.
