Hi there, new to the forum and new to consciously collecting Tolkien (been reading Tolkien for 30 years though). I was thinking the other day that i need a vintage paperback edition of LotR in my Tolkien shelves (i only have bound and hardcover editions) and it struck me then that I have probably become a collector of sorts.
Googling led me to the Ballantines gold boxes from the 70's that has the kind of look i like, and further googling led me to the TGC as the place to ask if this box is a nice one or not. Any advice on nice vintage paperback editions is welcome.
Otherwise i enjoy this site and these forums immensely. Such a great resource.
