Fun find: Rayner Unwin Letter in Niekas

In looking through the first run of the Niekas fanzine, I found an image (Niekas 11, p. 40, unnumbered) of a letter from Rayner Unwin to Ed Meškys (editor of Niekas) dated 22 February 1965. He responds to Mr Meškys on the subject of the publication of The Silmarillion (it 'shows no immediate sign of being got into a publishable state'), and notes the expected publication of Sir Gawain and the Green Knight and Pearl 'not at least until the end of the year'. Of course, both would not be published for a decade and more. See below.
