Like most effects studios, they can do good stuff (LoTR, District 9) or absolute rubbish (Hobbit). I suspect it depends on how much budget they are given.

Toxic company mind. Bit of scandal here in NZ about systemic sexism and general not niceness.

I remember reading about "Porn Fridays" and various other allegations of sexism, bullying and general abuse of its staff and thought it sounded more like a hedgefund than a place that encourages creativity. Then when the review they instigated cleared them of all allegations with the caveat that if there were some things are correct then "they were found to be reasonable in the context of cirumstances" I became convinced the accusations were in fact quite accurate.
