I've finally gotten a bit of information up on Heren Istarion - the Northeast Tolkien Society, or NETS (take your pick). A great group, run by two wonderful people, Anthony and Jessica.

Also got some basic information up on back issues. The next issue is due out soon (the end of the year?), and I have copies of all the back issues on their way to me for more serious review on TCG. (Thanks Anthony and Jessica!)

First thank you for the news and discussion re:Parma Nole --second please let me know Pieter when your package arrives--they said 4-7 days, that was weds as I said in email to you. I included last two issues, if you are interested in making the journal a feature as shown on TCG please let me know.
We strive to continually bringing this journal out with great papers/reviews and other hobbit-ish material, but thanks to its growth, as one can see from content within each issue, is due to Jessica, she took over the journal at Issue 3 and really has given it a better life than it ever was envisioned. So we look forward to your thoughts and comments, and hopefully one day when the society coffers are a bit more stable we can do alot more with it

a few HerenIstarion.org questions...
On your Society Journal page, you call the organization the "New York Tolkien Society" a couple of times. Was that at one point the name, later changed to North East Tolkien Society?
Also, the About Us page says your have members in the US as far away as Nashville, TN. I feel so left out...

OOPs ---perhaps you can be the new copyeditor for the website mellon! Yes we were indeed the NY TS but changed it to NE because folks kept asking if they had to live in NY but now we get questions if they have to live in NE! Go figure! We do have international members and I guess I have to update the material, looks like my day off Weds or Thurs will be update day--thanks for the heads up. I think the Nashville reference was part of the out of NY membership, I should cite other areas as well, and no you are not left out we have members in CA as well
