This was another fanzine born out of Neo-Numenor, a loosely confederated group of war-gamers. At a later date, the group was informally known as Neo-Numenor and officially as the Empire. The fanzine is full of various attempts to create a fannish political organization, which is the cause of some of the in-fighting found its pages. Many of the participants were from the Dearborn, Michigan, Monmouth, Illinois, and St. Louis, Missouri, areas. Contemporary and related fanzines were Minas Tirith Evening-Star, Green Nurd Variety, Misty Mountain Monthly, Palantiri, and Triplanetary. An issue of Mathom Sun appeared as Minas-Morgul Monthy [sic] volume 1, number 1. Supplements to Mathom Sun appeared as The Mondaily Guru or The Mondaily.
