Christopher writes Tolkien a long letter, said by Wayne Hammond and Christina Scull to be a "long letter written in stages" from 14, 17, 26 March and 16 April 1916. Covering the T.C.B.S. and his hopes for the group. He reminisces about the past. He feels that Tolkien has failed to understand what he tried to express and says they have different tastes.
He has been talking with Rob Gilson, and G.B. Smith about what to send to Tolkien and Edith as a wedding present, they can't decide so have asked what would be appropriate and asks Tolkien to tell him all about the wedding.
