Tolkien makes mention of the new volume on Buckingham by P.N.

Tolkien also promises to send Chambers a copy of his book, written for his children and occasional readings by friends, which was discovered by a member of staff from GA&U. Of cours ethe book was The Hobbit, and Tolkien will arrange for a copy to be sent to him as promised.
