Tolkien returns the first 21 pages of proofs for the Clarendon Chaucer and notes some errors.

In an attached note, Tolkien asks about the glossary for Sir Gawain. He also asks whether the press would be interested in publishing Introduction to German Philology and says that he would prepare it.^{This title does not go forward[1]}
