Beautiful. I’m assuming this was a HC pre-order? I hear they tend to come early. I can’t wait for mine over here in the US from Blackwell’s.
We are trying to arrange a time at the weekend to do an unboxing of the set that I also received today. Hopefully this Saturday and we will update this thread with details.

It was indeed :)
Couldn’t watch the video live but have seen it now. Always nice to see you guys discuss things. Intrigued as to what might come after The Great Tales. Woukd love if HC could do a big art book with Lee, Howe and Naismith :)
Does anyone know if the new art in the Great Tales set is in addition too or instead of the existing art ?

This is from the HC blurb
‘Sixth and final in a series of collectible boxed sets celebrating the literary achievement of Christopher Tolkien. Set #6 presents hardback editions of the three Great Tales of Middle-earth, printed in full colour and with new art in each, and housed in a matching slipcase decorated with stunning new artwork by the books’ artist, Alan Lee.’
Looks like some additional new art work and all the original art work will be included.
Thanks for sharing more pictures Trotter, and to Uruloke, Mr. Underhill and yourself for the unboxing yesterday. My set does not arrive until later next week but I like the look of it. A shame on the slight (what looks like an) error on Sir Gawain but all of the valuable information is there, which is the most important aspect after all.
I am very glad to see the slight resetting of the covers and new texture on Beowulf.
