Tolkien discusses C.S. Lewis and his invitation to Cambridge. Lewis had intitially refused the offer citing family obligations, namely his brothers health, but Tolkien convinced Lewis that the move would be good for him. Willink though had offered the chair elsewhere before recieving a letter from Lewis accepting the post.
