Tolkien had sent a Cablegram from Houghton Mifflin Letter from Houghton Mifflin to J.R.R. Tolkien • 25 April 1938 (#1860)[1] to him onto GA&U and Stanley Unwin replies that they will that for publicity purposes.
He also asks Tolkien to organise the return of the Clark Hall Beowulf proofs from Elaine Griffiths with as little corrections as is possible. He remarks that he would welcome the opportunity to publish Tolkien's translation of Beowulf.
