Writing to Tolkien, Simonne d'Ardenne complains about Hitler and the situation in Europe but she hopes that world events will work out for the best.
On work matters d'Ardenne mentions again that she will send to Tolkien her article on the Brussels Cross once complete and asks him to look at her review of Les poè mes mythologiques de I’Edda, which is translated by Félix Wagner, which she has enclosed. She also remarks that she is sending him her copy of Anglo-Saxon Primer by Sweet which he has promised to emend for her students.
