Little is known of this 6 page letter but Tolkien touches on the publication of The Lord of the Rings, stating it is not a trilogy and not an allegory. He also makes various comments on reviews, Frodo's failure, the Elvish languages, Charles Williams, and the poem 'Errantry'.
