Hello to all of the "old timers" that find their way to this site. And welcome to all newbies. Am pleased that these boards are back up again as the old ones were where I first (1) discovered that such forums exist, (2) found about about the many Tolkien calendar "out there", and (3) met Fangorn (to my very great benefit).
If you are interested in this subset of Tolkienalia, please visit my website at:
www.angelfire.com/tn3/tolkiencalendarsThere you will find 190+ Tolkien calendars and what I hope are some interesting facts and functions (including a calendar-of-the-month). As always, would be very pleased to hear from anyone about the calendars or who knows of one that is not catalogued there.
Best wishes to Deagol on this site!!

Had a very nice surprise this week. Vaclav Satava of the Czech TS sent a copy of their 1999 calendar to me. He had hinted that this calendar was "out there" but I had only hoped that he would be able to find a copy of it. The other Czech calendars that are on my website also came from him. He had seen the website and very generously sent both of them without any prior contact from him! I am VERY fortunate to have made the (virtual) acquaintance and had the support of many fellow enthusiasts (as you will note on my website). This is the best part of collecting.
If there is any way that I may support any fellow collectors, you need only drop me a line here or via the website.
OK, 'nuff for now. Have to start a little upgrade that Beren suggested.

I updated my calendar website. Have added a few new calendars. Updated the Calendar-of-the-Month feature for June (FINALLY!) And, per a suggestion from Beren, categorized a fair number of the calendars by country or society. (Did not categorize the numerous Ballantine or Allen&Unwin - or their successors - issues.) Hope you enjoy!

What was that line in LotR about the praise of the praiseworthy?

Happy July to Everyone!
I have updated my Tolkien calendar website with a few additions and the Calendar of the Month feature. That calendar is the 1976 issue illustrated by the Brothers Hildebrandt in respect to Tim Hildebrandt who passed away on 11 June. Check it all out at:
www.angelfire.com/tn3/tolkiencalendarsWould be pleased to hear from anyone with comments or a discovery!

It has been a while since I posted. Hope everyone's summer is going well.
I have updated the Calendar of the Month feature on my website. This month's calendar is a particular favorite of mine as I noted on the website. Please stop by! As always, am very interested to hear from you if know of or have any "new" (previously uncatalogued) calendars.

Hi All -
Have not catalogued any "new" calendars although the 2007 HarperPrism is out. So will add that one eventually. I did post a new Calendar of the Month for September. Hope everyone's summer was great.
