Help. I have a boxed set of 6 filmstrip canisters (like we used to watch in school back in the 70s) with 6 cassette tapes of the Rankin/Bass animated version of The Hobbit. The filmstrips and cassettes don't look as if they've ever been used. The box is a little beat up and has library marks on it. I can't find any information on it anywhere. Anybody know what it's worth?

Hi Julie,
This is one of those items that there are only very few copies, of but conversely there are only a very few people who would be interested in collecting it. There's no real way to say a market value for it since there is so little (no) data on how much people have paid in the past. You will just have to try and find a buyer, if you are looking to sell!
I do not think that Marquette has a copy in their collection - that might be a nice place for it to find a home, if you are willing to donate it - let me know if you want to pursue this avenue, and can help get you in touch.

Thank you. That may be something I do if I can't find someone who wants to buy it (though I could really use the cash :) Beats having it sit around collecting dust when someone out there might really enjoy it.
