Saw this book at a local bookstore yesterday, selling for 50 euros.
Is it worth that much?

No. These books are really quite common as they were printed in huge numbers. There are a couple of variants, and I think the "Clowes" printed edition is possibly less common than the "Billings" version.
I think I paid about 20 pounds for my "mint" Silmarillion 1/1 a few years back, but that had been in a box of GA&U books that had been sealed since the early 80s. I got a 1/1 UT in the same condition from the same box. Those books were better than most new books in a book shop, though, so I paid a premium.
