A very interesting letter written on Tolkien's birthday in 1969. I love the way that he states in the letter that he now lives by the sea but does not disclose the location, though the postmark may give a bit of a clue

Sorry, he sent us 4 signatures, not 5. I am now putting the letter and all the signatures up for auction at Bonhams
And no my letter is not in the chronology, because only Bridget knew about it.
