Not sure if I have seen a copy with this bad a red fading on the dust-jacket spine before, in this case completely gone.

The blue is also badly faded.

If you have a set of these, then keep them out of the light or may end up like this.

Yep, those ones have been up for sale for a little while. They are a stark warning of just how fragile some red pigments are! I keep mine reversed on the shelf.

Yeah, I saw that -- and my eyebrows lifted at the price!

I've never really wanted those books myself; Always thought they were a bit ugly and 1970s looking.

Note, reserve not met on these. Also I agree with Stu, not feeling the design on these...

Not a fan of FS books either. Could never get past the lettering. I am curious to see the illustrations, though.

This may be first time that Amazon have appeared in this illustrious thread, but what is going on here?
