Thanks for posting those -- looks like the postal service has not been completely kind to some of them!

My copy showed up today from Amazon.co.uk so was able to take a few pics of the ones you requested :)
Pics are a bit unruly in size when put in using the img tag, so will just use links....

They are all Fine or Near Fine except FoA, way better than most stuff I receive on mail!
9/10 books I receive in envelopes or cardboard boxes without substantial bubble wrap or packing material get severely damaged with bumps and several wrinkles to dust wrapper, and more. I complain and get a second copy sent, which will promptly arrived damaged as well. Therefore, I only buy from second-hand stores and specialized book sellers that are willing to send several pictures of the item beforehand and customize packaging. I guess it must be a local issue since most people seem to be receive theirs in Fine/NF condition every time.
Thanks for posting those -- looks like the postal service has not been completely kind to some of them!Yeah, sellers in the UK could package a bit better when shipping across the pond, but the dings aren't usually as noticeable, the flash on the camera really brings them all out. I can live with these in their current state, and I guess I consider myself somewhat lucky as I've only had to return/exchange one of my Deluxe editions (TftPR came with a pretty huge dent/gash on the slipcase that I was not going to live with).
Thank you!Happy to take them and share them. My bookshelf is currently more than partially hidden as my 1.5 & 4yr olds love pulling stuff anything/everything off it that they can. Well I guess my oldest is finally getting a better about leaving it along, but now his younger brother has picked up where he left off. So any chance to uncover it and appreciate it's contents while we house hunt is always appreciated.
One thing I have noticed is that Book Depository seem to now do consolidated shipping to NZ, and then the parcels are labelled for final delivery from Auckland. So far, so good; The last couple of parcels haven't looked like they went through the meat grinder.
I ordered two more facsimile Hobbits from Book Depository recently (for gifts) and they were only able to send one, they're now unavailable there.

Can you give us some feedback on the book?
How many pages in total are the text of The Lay of Aotrou & Itroun and how many are commentary?
I am not that affected about this but other forum members are, where was it printed and what are your views on the printing quality?
