ISBN of book in 2003 Houghton Mifflin LORT Gift set

This is the one I am talking about :

https://affiliates.abebooks.com/c/9724 ... 8401210%2526sortby%253D17

The ISBNs of the giftset itself are 0618401210 and 9780618401215.

This is the book in the set:

https://theliteraryomnivore.files.word ... com/2011/03/lotr2003c.jpg

It seems to be exclusive to that set. Does anyone know what the ISBN of the book itself is?

Thanks for reading!

The book itself is the same as the trade hardcover edition from this timeframe:
ISBN 0-618-26024-2

The dustjacket was created especially for the gift set. It has no price printed on it, instead having a callout "Featuring maps of Middle-earth ->" on the upper right corner of the front flap. The rear flap says "The cover for this Book and Bookends Gift Set edition was selected by visitors to TheOneRing.net. Thank you to the 13,500 individuals who participated. The Road Goes Ever On."

There is no bar-code or ISBN on the rear flap, as well.

Unfortunately this means that the dustjacket is the important differentiator, and it has no database-friendly markings on it to find in online searches. You will just have to go based off the artwork on the dustjacket, and make sure the seller is using pictures of the book in hand, and not stock photos.

Fun! (Not)

Attached are some images found online of the bookends, showing the trade dustjacket spine, and the gift edition dustjacket spine. All of the actual sets I have seen have had the gift edition dustjacket. I think the other is a promotional picture taken by the publisher before the set was released and the dustjacket design settled.

Ha! I have had similar "momentary lapses of reason".

I had a panic attack two days ago where I could not find a really rare issue of I Palantir in my fanzine collection, so I had to go through and re-verify my catalog all of them in entirety. Found it! (It is just slightly larger than the other issues, so it got filed somewhere else). Also found one issue of another fanzine that I had forgotten to add to the database, and then happened to find an issue of one fanzine I never knew about! It was tucked inside a different fanzine and somehow stayed there for years and years undetected.
