It is, but C. Tolkien brings the pieces together in a very engaging manner (as he always does)... his writing is such a pleasure. So sad that he says ("presumptively") that this book will be his last work from his father's writings.
My deluxe copy of Kullervo has a couple "flaws", though I may be nitpicking...
The title on the spine is as you pointed out, and the motif on the book cover is also not centered within the boundaries of the grey board, if you get my meaning - it is placed more towards the right. The slipcase also has those angles and the inner board can be seen at each angle where the coloured outer board is cut away.

I'd imagine that being 93, that has been his presumption for a while. However long he does live (and it could be a while, yet), he has had a damn good innings compared to most.
I suspect this book will be of most value to people who don't already have HoME. And it will undoubtedly make the material a bit more accessible.
