I have a little knowledge of Swedish. Actually, some years ago I was thinking to follow a university course about Scandinavian language & history. I did not, but it is still a matter of interest for me.
I shall give it a try.
PalantirenPalantiren is a publication, for fairy tales, myths and fantasy, but also for SF, skräck (don't know where that stands for, the translation is 'fear'. Some kind of thriller or horror-stuff I guess?) and cyberpunk. For many years, Palantiren was a publication of Hirgon's guild in Forodrim.
The most of the material to publish is written by members of Forodrim, but also others have written it - and are welcome to write.
History- 1972 publication of the first issue, in the same year as the founding of Forodrim.
- 1972 - 1987 publication of 44 issues (whereof three double issues). Some of them where hardcover, others softcover.
- 1987 the change of Palantiren and the beginning of the publication in the shape of yearbooks, with beautiful colour illustrations. Towards 1991 five of such yearbooks were published. Then the publication stopped for a time.
- 1994 the waking again of Hirgon's guild with a new editor. Under the name New Palantiren two issues in A4-format were published, with beautiful frontcovers in colour.
- 1998 the waking again of New Palantiren with a new editor, from now on as the webpaper New Palantiren.

The bulletin Palantiren is named after the crystal bullets that appeared in The Lord Of The Rings. In these crystal bullets, who's name was Palantirer, people could see things that happened on places far away.

All the issues published (besides the webissues) are in Forodrim's archive and at the Royal Library. There is also a stock of back issues that can be ordered. But the first number only as new printing.
