This is released today on Audible, possibly free if you have an Audible subscription, or set up a free trial. You can also buy it in this format. You can only listen to it via the Audible Apps.
Later this month on the 17th September, it will be available on 9 CDs, which is the version that I am getting.

Sorry, what do you mean, what issue do you have with CD's for Audiobooks that have no DRM? https://audiobooksontape.com/2015/09/0 ... s-it-apply-to-audiobooks/

I think he was expressing novel appreciation for what is now considered (shockingly to many of us of a certain age) an "old" format. I don't even have a discman, but I'm in the same camp that the CD will be the way to go!
The Audible version of Andy Serkis' Hobbit is due to be released on September 21st in the USA.

I don't have a link handy for a CD version in the USA, but I would think that would come eventually...
