I did not check the rest of Trotter's readings. Philomythos's alternative readings are all correct, except the last one: the word is indeed "still".
Thanks — On closer examination, his l's consistently loop when doubled but mostly do not when single. So, not looped in English, bloke, Nicholas, calamitous, largely, Pole/Polar, etc. (though it is occasionally looped (4x), as in fateful, help, /always/, and revealed), but always looped in words like mercifully, telling, especially, etc. And, of course, still is consistent with this rule (and makes more sense than since anyway).
For any interested, here is a clean copy of the (narrow) transcription, with all corrections made. Many thanks for the help. (NB: I decided, on second thought, that the dot after P(olar) really is a dot, marking the abbreviation P.B., and the i below it has a much lower, faintly visible dot.)
