It's really starting to climb. I recently bought a 5th printing FOTR, so I'm watching this to compare to what I paid for mine...

How much did you pay for your 5th @Mr. Underhill ?

I own a 5th as well I bought 2 years ago,, the spine is a bit brownish due to sun fading with a small inner crease but overall is in very good condition. Paid £175.

Mine is in similar condition, a few chips to the DJ...similar to the one for sale on ebay. I paid $400 USD for it

I remember this happening at the time of the LoTR movies, and then they slowly drifted back down over quite a long period. Which isn't to say that will happen this time.
