This came today. Strange little article, but some really interesting quotes. Nice to see the positive variant of the pen/beak analogy at the end. The rest of the magazine is pretty wild (Brando IS necessary, we learn, among other important information).
Thanks for sharing!
The author interviewed Tolkien in 1966 (August 9) for his Sunday Times article (15 January, 1967). Is this article a rewrite, or does it have new quotes in it? I don't have the ST article (or the NYT reprint) handy at the moment to compare.

The Sunday Times article was written by Philip Norman, and Philip appears to have made a cut-down version of that interview for this magazine. I'll probably go through and see if any new items are included but on first glance that does not appear to be the case.

This was delivered today. I was the only bidder on eBay. There was no mention of being inscribed in the description. I've paid 1,99 € ...
Lucky little find! I wouldn't pay more than 2 EUR for an unsigned one, mind! I picked mine up when they got remaindered - similar price (though unsigned, of course). Never quite seen the point of them.
Thanks to Berelach for helping me get my latest UK 1st Silmarillion variant.
Left to Right: Export, Domestic, BCA '77, Domestic 2nd Print, BCA '78(latest acquisition)
The 2nd Print spine is badly faded as you can tell, and the map is missing, it's a ex library book I found some years ago and I think I paid about a dollar for it.
I kind of like the smaller BCA '78...no fold out map though?
