Rules for the thread.
1. Must be at least 40 years old.
2. Must be in "uncommonly good condition", i.e. better than you would usually find.
3. No restored books or facsimile jackets
I've started here with a couple off the shelf, but I'll dig out some more as and when I have time to photo
For starters, LoTR 11/9/8 and The Hobbit '66, '67, '68

Love it... hope these qualify:
All 1st/1sts.
Tree and Leaf looks like it has a faded spine but that's just the lighting, it's unfaded. When I bought it I found that it had two jackets, one on top of the other, and the top one had protected the one underneath keeping it in next to new condition (I posted about that, some may recall).
Two Towers is a review copy.
Looking closely at all of these it's not hard to find small flaws, but I think they would still be considered as 'uncommonly good condition'... if not, fight me!

Noice. I do remember your post about the two jackets -- that was an uncommonly lucky find!

My 1963
Lord of the Rings Deluxe Box-set, was really happy with the condition of the box.
The Two Towers looks in worse condition than the other books, but nearly all the copies I have seen look like this and this is still a bit of a mystery!

Nice books all around. That said, I'm not the one who usually slobbers over stuff, but Stu's LotR set is amazing and Hobbitses are oh so pretty.

First impression Longman's (except the one on the far right, which is a reprint). All boxed up now (except one) so legacy photo from a previous thread...

My LoTR is probably what was used as the source for the logo part of the pocket LoTR set. At least HarperCollins asked me for scans when they were thinking about doing a set based on the 1st editions and I obliged. I like to think it's the case, anyway.

That LotR looks amazing!
Nothing too rare at my end but happy with the condition of my copies of Sil and UT:
