I've poked around on the forum for a while but have not yet posted. However, I'm wondering if this is a true version of the Deluxe collection? The box does not seem to match the versions I have seen. Also the high printings (9th) do not seem correct.

That's an after-market slipcase (David Miller, I believe), not the original. This is not one of the 500 limited sets, which were 1st, 2nd, 1st, 1st impressions.
Edit. Value-wise it is worth the current Amazon price for the books and a few bucks for the slipcase. Nothing more.

The Purple 1992 edition is relatively uncommon, though they have probably come to market a little more often in recent years. Part of the problem is that the ISBN is shared with a more common edition, so they may be listed occasionally but they just get missed. I have a copy in the same "as new" condition as Trotter and it took me a few years to find. Then I stumbled upon a second copy when I wasn't really looking, which is how these things work.
