Project Northmoor could have bought this building and saved it, it actually would be a great location for the project that they originally planned.

I’ve only visited this place once in 2017 and it was offices then. It would certainly be more friendly for disabled visitors.
I wonder what they are going to use this account for? Perhaps shots of the property itself (landscape and design shots) kind of like "The Shire" in New Zealand's social media accounts...
It is a very big house, I can see them allowing people to stay in the house. I hope they do as I would love to stay there.

It looks like the original Project Northmoor has bought another house in Northmoor Road, and are turning it into a place people can stay. A good idea and good luck with the project.

From the video that they have provided, it looks like the house could be Number 9, Northmoor Road.
In a wonderful collaboration with friends of the centre, we are currently renovating a home-base in Oxford as a unique place for a community of researchers, post-grads and writers to stay in Oxford. It is located in the same road as Tolkien’s house so we have got as close to our original aim as we possibly could. Those living together will a shared love for the works of the Tolkien, CS Lewis and the other Inklings, we hope it will be creative hub to inspire a new generation. Each day you’ll be able to walk and cycle the same paths as your favourite writers.
You will be able to stay there Summer 2023 onwards, so if you are coming to Oxford for a year, or even just a term, of study or writing, please do get in touch. Each room will be inspired by the sources for Tolkien’s Middle-earth cultures so you could be staying in an Arts and Crafts Elven bedroom or a Viking dwarves chamber. Hurry if you want the gothic orc room!
Those living in the house will have a chance to share their ideas and live as an Inklings family. Who knows: maybe you’ll meet the next Tolkien, Lewis or Williams!
We’ll post images soon as the builders get past the fundamentals of making sure ancient-looking rooms have 21st century amenities
