Does anyone know if The Lord of the Rings has ever been printed in a single volume large edition? The standard printings are roughly 9-10 inches tall (23-26cm), but I'm interested in something closer to 12-16 inches (30-36cm). A book in the lap version... Grimoire... Tome. Does this exist?

I don't think I have seen any official editions that are taller than about 10" - e.g. the Alan Lee illustrated edition.

I can imagine that printing a one volume edition like LOTR in such a large format is something that HC wouldn't want to take on.
