'Indeed. Is it a (DM?) custom slipcase with Poems & Stories, & Unwin Hyman H & LR perhaps?'
It is indeed! I have the boxes, but much prefer to see those lovely spines. The slipcase is one of David Miller's and I love it!

Ah, I thought so. I have first printings of those books; but only LotR is in a slipcase. The others are in boxes.
Must say the DM slipcase looks good, but for myself, I think the original boxes etc are an integral part of the book.

Still having issues with the blog rotating pics of its own accord - frustrating to say the least.

Digging in the vaults of TCG. The discussion on future priceing of SD CoH is an interesting one. Also very nice to see some of the wish lists.

The future pricing was based on the very real issue in 2011 that HarperCollins could not sell all 500 copies, they were struggling with selling this book.
They did eventually sell all the books and they are now difficult to get hold of and command a high price as they are really excellent editions of the book.

I wonder how that has influenced HC's policy towards making such limited deluxes. Maybe you got some signals about that during your correspondence with HC regarding a LoTR (super) deluxe Trotter? And does HC regard the 1992 Alan Lee deluxe set as their LoTR SD?
