The Tolkien societys 'mission statement' that Tolkien is the greatest author humanity has produced might be a strong one, but I at least am one of the people who agrees. His legendarium might be linked in myriad ways to the myths and legends of the northwest of the Old World, but I believe deeply that myths speak to us about who we are....all of us. So it was pretty cool to read about these books being shipped around the globe Trotter.
