A closer scan shows that I received one of the “blurry pages” copies. I suggest opening and checking your copy when you receive it, as there are numerous reports of defects that might warrant requesting a refund/exchange.

I noted all of the misprinted pages here: https://www.tolkienguide.com/modules/n ... t_id=35300#forumpost35300
I've may have missed this in the thread, but what (if known) is the reason Amazon don't have the deluxe listed? Seems, for them, very unusual. No stock, sure, but where's the bookmark?
They do seem to hide product pages from most search results when they have supply issues. The page is still there if you have the link, but there is nothing to order - I am guessing they don't have any idea when they might have more.

Amazon owns Book Depository and the volume is in stock there, so it's possible AMZ is just shifting additional supply there.
Are you saying the Amazon listing has BD listed as a secondary seller? I'm not seeing that. The reason I ask is that I have an Amazon voucher so want to check-out via the Amazon site regardless of seller. BD have, as mentioned, the book in stock...
Sorry, I see it.
Unfortunately the BD price via Amazon issignificantly higher than the price on BD's own site.
£106.09 vs. £94.80

I just ordered mine from here: https://www.fishpond.com.au/Books/Lord ... R-R-Tolkien/9780008471293
Obligatory LOTR Deluxe photos. After a pretty detailed scan of the book itself I can find no defects or misprints.
I am very happy with the overall product. The reproduction of some of Tolkien's art does leave something to be desired. If I was going to find something to complain about, the reproductions of the dust jackets that Tolkien drew are so dark that they are kind of hard to see.
Just nit picking I suppose.
