Happy Holidays & Merry Christmas all (slightly belatedly!)
Didn't do too badly this year, I am quite content!

Lovely to see. Do you display your posters and prints or keep them stored in the tubes? I have very few but was wondering using an art folder so they’re flat and I can look at them as and when I wanted.
Sorry for the delay in responding!
I have some (PJ) movie posters that are still in tubes, because they are too large to display for me currently (4'x6' or 1.2m x 1.8m) and not valuable enough (in my mind) to buy archival flat storage for them. The rest of my art and posters is either framed or in archival portfolio (flat) storage. I agree with everything that onthetrail said in his response above, as well.
These Bodleian/Museoteca prints will be getting framed once the holidays are over. https://bodleian.museoteca.com/web_gallery.jsp?gal_id=20
Happy New Year everyone. We got ours first here in NZ and... it is sunny. Hope everyone has a disease-free year, hopefully finding a few Tolkien treasures along the way.
Happy New Year, all!
Hopefully some (or many) of us can meet up with fellow collectors at various events - let us hope that health and travel allow for such!
My personal plans are looking like I might manage the Marquette exhibition launch (and perhaps a small moot at that time). There is also potentially the PPP Moot (and WorldCon!) in that timeframe, and then Oxonmoot of course. Any other events people here might be going to where casual meetups might be arranged?

Plan to attend Mythcon, we'll see. If it happens I plan to show a couple of chess sets and '70s posters that helped inspire the pieces.
Happy New Year.
Bruce
I only just realised that I - completely coincidentally - was married on Tolkien's birthday (more than a decade ago). How did I not notice this until now?
That said, forgot my anniversary again until it was pointed out to me. Just like in every 1970s British sitcom (though in those, the protagonist usually pretends to have forgotten and then the wife gets super-upset and "hilarious" shenanigans ensue).

Stu, man oh man. You better get your thinking cap on and find a very big bunch of flowers.
