Are we sure HC knows about the error? No one has noticed it up until now, as far as I know...
I had previously seen it mentioned, but I can't remember where. Wasn't here. Likely no one has mentioned it to HC, mind.
Same here - saw it somewhere else, but can't remember where (thought it was here, but no evidence). I'll leave it to Trotter to bring up with HC I think.
Actually, it was here :D

I actually picked up a copy of this though I wasn't intending to (low price + 1EUR shipping to NZ from Kennys). I must admit when comparing the 1992 edition to the new one, I think the 1992 is mostly better. They have gone overboard on digital cleanup and a lot of texture seems to have been washed out when removing specs of dirt. The picture from the following page is sometimes a bit noticeable bleeding through as well. Nice enough book, but the older, slightly larger format was a bit better, IMHO.

I would agree with that. When I got the new edition I did a cursory comparison with the '92 and '79 editions and it just seems to me that paper quality and image reproduction is just not as good. Also I was surprised at just how much smaller it was than the 1st and 2nd editions. One thing I do like is what they did with the case. Always thought the 2nd edition needed something like that.
