So I happened on this current eBay auction for a sealed Millennium Edition HC set, and my first thought was that the spines were sun faded:
The seller says it’s a “white” (rather than red) colouration version, but this is the first time I’ve ever seen one like this.
Thoughts?

I think the spines are faded, as is the CD.
IF HarperCollins were to have produced a white edition, not sure that they would have also produced a white CD case.

Trotter here, there is no "white" edition. This was probably just kept in someone's sun room or something and the red faded away.

Looks faded...more than usual sure, but i've seen a couple go to a light pink not so far from this one.

Thanks for the replies; I thought that was the case, but wanted to make sure I hadn’t somehow overlooked a “rare” variant !

Dreadful and from a ‘trusted’ seller

Yeah, I've seen them faded this far before. I've even seen people claim they are a different variant before...

Definitely a faded to white case. I’m pretty sure I’ve seen that exact picture before too.
