The Lord of the Rings, 3 vol., FIRST EDITION, FIRST IMPRESSIONS, with "sagging text" on p.49 of 'The Return', each with a folding map printed in red and black, publisher's red cloth ('Fellowship' slightly rubbed with a few spots on upper cover), dust-jackets (unclipped, age soiling to spines, 'Return' and 'Two Towers' with slight wear at extremities of spine and corners of folds, 'Fellowship' with spine soiled and frayed at extremities, split at lower joint, lower cover soiled with a couple of spots towards gutter margin, upper inner flap detached), 8vo, George Allen and Unwin, 1954-1955
