I'd like to check your spine and back to compare with my copy which is a proof DJ, with no adverts on back neither GA&U inprint on the spine.

I need to find a "regular" copy of the 1940 to complete my Beowulf collection (I have the 1950 and 1954 impressions).

According to W. Hammond, 8 proof copies of the 1940 edition might have been produced. I'm wondering how much have survived ?
