Its strange seeing this stuff. Naturally i recognise some names of people and places but thats about it. The mind that gave us the akallabeth, aldarion and erendis, tal-elmar and the lost road has had no part in this.

To be fair, it was never going to ever be anything other than fan fiction loosely pinned into Tolkien's creation. Not really possible to do anything else when the source material doesn't exist.

I disagree Stu. They always have a choice of what to emphasise. Tolkien didnt write actionadventure. Read 'the mariners wife'. This series is Peter Jackson all over again .. he made a greatest hits of the few actionscenes in the LotR book, dragging some of them out endlessly. Their motivation is to make something that will make lots of money.
