I do wonder if - given no one is going to be collecting a perishable product like Kit Kats - this is slightly out out of the remit of "collecting".
Strongly disagree here. I know people who still have packaging like this from the 2001 release of The Fellowship of the Ring movie.
Here's a current ebay listing for 2002 chocolate bar packaging.

That's hardly a Kit Kat foil wrapper, though.
But, I'm already muted. It is what it is, I guess.

People collect all kinds of odds and ends, wouldn't be surprised at all in there is someone who wants to get all these wrappers. We all remember these right?
I had a few a one point before off loading them.
Stu, you're coming on a collecting website and trying to gatekeep what people are allowed to enjoy collecting.
Collecting chocolate wrappers and boxes (and bars) is something that a lot of people enjoy doing. Finding tidbits of marketing ephemera for their favorite show characters has been going on for decades. There's nothing any more wrong with that than buying multiple copies of The Hobbit because they look good all lined up on the shelf.
Leave the gatekeeping at the door. It's ok to not like these, and not want them, and move on without trying to make everyone else feel bad about their hobby. There are other places to try and change the world, and you are throwing stones in a very glass house.

Sure thing. As I already said, I'm out.
Not sure if this is off topic, but is there any news whether the show will have a blu ray release? Similar question regarding the soundtrack, will there be a physical release? Cd or preferably vinyl? There were two tracks already dropped on the amazon music streaming, but I failed to find them on spotify or on Tidal. Does anybody know if this will be an amazon music exclusive? I sincerely hope not, that would be a slippery slope for soundtrack releases and exclusivity in my humble opinion.
