The Hobbit, first edition, second impression, colour frontispiece, 4 plates including 3 colour, 8 illustrations, some full-page, map endpapers, 2pp. advertisements, slight damp staining with some pages slightly ‘rippled’, original pictorial cloth, small slight wear at base of spine and ‘shelf’ identification on spine, otherwise a good copy, facsimile dust-jacket,1937; Another copy, first edition, tenth edition, original decorated boards, original dust-jacket slightly worn at extremities, 1975, 8vo.
