Same. I understand scarcity drives the price of this edition, but if I owned a copy, I’d sell it to buy something I actually like and desire to own.

One of my favourite Hobbit Covers. Love it!

These were sold exclusively to primary schools, so kids did to them what they often do to things.

If I did not already own this edition, I'd sell something to buy this edition, one of the highlights of my collection and a fantastic cover.

I do like the cover, but I've never wanted one of these in my collection at the prices they have sold for in the past. This listing is definitely breaking records!

If you are looking for one, keep in mind that more will show up given enough time. This isn't the last copy on earth. ?

It's also my understanding that the cover artist's name has been lost...I don't have one of these, but would like to get one someday when the timing is better for me as I am a fan of library/school books. However, I actually like (on a purely aesthetic basis) the grey Longman's cover more which are much more common and much cheaper (I have two of these).
