I just leafed through all three volumes of The University Catholic Review (1927-1929), looking at every page of every issue. They do not include any poems by Tolkien. Good to know, indeed!

I've heard back from some contacts and they too have had no luck so far. I've got a friend visiting a library next week and they will also try to find some info and hopefully soon we will have some better luck.

I don't know if this is useful, but it seems that at least a few issues (Vol. 1(1)-Vol. 6(1), 1920-1924) are available at the Heythrop Library.

They told me that these issues are part of their offsite store collection in Egham (Surrey) and that they can send the issues for consultation either at the Senate House Library in London or at the Heythrop Library itself.
