If a PIR Hobbit would be listed in this condition, I couldn't imagine the final price !
Great to see other PIR.

These are later editions, both published in 1975, they seem to be better quality construction than the Hobbit.

Slightly less expensive Pleasure in Reading books.
Bought these two as the covers are illustrated by Pauline Baynes
Those are in really good condition. Surely that dispels the "they were school editions so their condition is always gonna not be good" myth. lol

I love those sets where the spines form an integrated image or graphic. My favorite is in Georgian, where the volumes are Silmarillion, Hobbit, Fellowship Part 1, Fellowship Part 2, Two Towers, and Return of the King.wheresrob wrote:
New delivery.
Indeed. I'll have to check that out the next time I'm cruising the Georgian publisher site. This is one of those publishers who publishes "the great works of X world author translated into Georgian". (I have to be fresh and energetic, though. It's one heck of a lot of cut and paste into Google Translate just to get to the right web page :p)wheresrob wrote:
Very nice, imagine if volumes 128 and 135 blend into other series artwork, that would be epic.
Decided over Christmas to get a clamshell case for my copy of Leeds University Verse 1914-1924.
I picked a local bookbinder and asked them if they could create a similar case to the copy being sold by Lucius Books, https://www.luciusbooks.com/shop/moder ... iversity-verse-1914-1924/
I find it is good if you send an example to bookbinders of how you would like the case, rebinding to look.
Very pleased with the outcome, it has a wide spine to fit the text, so the inside of the case has a sized holder for the book which works very well.
