I would be quite interested in the Harper Collins standard edition if it matches the format of the recent Harper Collins "great tales", Nature of middle-earth/ Fall of Numenor books. A bonus if it's on thinner paper as well. I have the original single volume release but it's very thick and unweildy with a binding that's not very robust.

So far only the deluxe is listed on Amazon UK.

I was surprised to receive my standard hardback copy of this yesterday direct from HC albeit cover was damaged in transit. To their credit they instantly offered a no quibble replacement.
It's massive and does match the others.

Here you go. As I said mine was damaged but HC are sending another. The paper quality is 'ok'. Quite thin and not as white as e.g. the new style LOTR. Also a bit 'furry' on the cut edge.
