I just opened a 3rd impression of Farmer Giles of Ham which I bought a few weeks back, and was surprised to see this full page illustration upside down!
Just curious in case anyone knows if this was a known/widespread fault?

Definitely not widespread, I've never seen one with this error before. Just checked my '61 (just to be sure) and it's fine. Most likely just a printing error. It happens.

At least I could try putting it on eBay now for 10 x what I paid for it, who knows, maybe I'll get an honourable mention in The Wonders Of...

Be sure to use “rare” in the listing a number of times

Seems to me that it's just another example of how quality with HarperCollins is going down the drain /s
In all seriousness I love when you guys post little one-off print errors on older books, always gets me wondering how the original owner must have reacted to it.
