That's so cool. Also special mention to the website updates. Seems a lot has changed.LanceFormation wrote:
If someone is looking for a US 1938 Hobbit with dustjacket. The description indicates the jacket is priced clipped and from the photos it is somewhat chipped, but these don’t come up often.

Ha ha, someone got there first, and its gone
It was never there, it's a scam listing.

Whats the story in case they ask? is the seller doing something dubious?
I reported it a little while ago. Probably others caught it, too.
So this book sold many months ago, but someone is apparently hacking valid accounts and relisting old items to scam buyers. The big red flag is that the listing usually wants the buyer to purchase outside eBay.
Anyway, these hacked accounts gets reported, eventually they go away, and then the listings come back again under a different hacked account…it’s a wack-a-mole.
Just want to give a heads up. I won this bid 17 days ago or so. It has been 16 days since I've received correspondence from the seller, and I paid immediately. He said he was going to ship it Royal Mail. I've sent multiple messages over the past few weeks asking for tracking number or a status update and he has not replied. Also, Ebay still says its status is "awaiting dispatch". Left a negative feedback and here's a warning to others.Trotter wrote:

Hope he either ships it or you get your money back. I always pay via PayPal on eBay, as that gives me another avenue to pursue if something like this happens, to get your money back.
