Here is a six and a half minute audio interview talking about why the Bodleian Library is archiving tweets from some accounts.

I am really happy to see a major library like the Bod being presented as what it is - an archival network also of human memories that is up to the changes in our digital lifestyles. You might like or dislike Twitter - or any other social media channel for that matter - but there is no use denying the roles they have played in everyday lives, society or politics.
