I'm in US. I preordered from Amazon and the delivery date has continuously been pushed back. It's now saying Sept 25th delivery. I got it locked in at a pretty decent price though ($20 including shipping), so I'm hoping if I just wait it out it'll eventually arrive.
After receiving a notification from Amazon a few days ago about further shipping delay for Tolkien’s Faith, I wound up canceling my order and ordered directly from Word on Fire. It arrived today! Photos below. Like Tolkien’s Modern Reading, the book is well-made and pleasantly hefty. Excited to dive into it tonight after work.
Looks very nice. Amazon UK have increased the price by £5 (I will still hopefully get it at the pre release price of £27) and it now says ships from USA albeit still being shown as 25/9/23 delivery. Looking forward to reading it assuming it arrives in one piece.

For those interested, the US 1973 Collector’s Edition Hobbit in the green slipcase has been reissued with the Clarion Books imprint.
There really is not much different from the old Houghton Mifflin Company printing except the spine and title page now have Clarion Books and of course the copyright page has been updated.
Note they may have reset the printing number. If I read it correctly, the far left number might be for the year 2023 and the far right number could indicate the 32nd printing. However, Berelach’s site indicates there have been at least 40 printings for the HMCo imprint. So not sure…

I think you are right, 23 is the year and 32 is the impression, but as you say strange if they have released higher impressions already. What does SCP mean?

Someone (@uruloke?) suggested that could be a code for which printer made the book.

Yes - in general the letter code is used to identify which printer made that copy (helpful when more than one printer is being used) but that's not official - it means whatever the publisher wants it to mean. I can ask next time I am talking with the William Morrow team if they can share anything useful for this edition.
